About Molly

I am a psychotherapist, yogini, and mother. My multilayered lens brings healing, integration, and transformation to the lives of birthing people. My approach is grounded in Psychodynamic Theory, and informed by over a decade of teaching yoga and meditation, as well as an ongoing exploration of Somatic Experiencing and Buddhism. I received a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute and brings a Depth Psychological perspective to my work.

Prior to specializing in perinatal mental health, my early career as a psychotherapist was spent at drug and alcohol treatment centers. At Promises Treatment Center I was the Director of the Family Intensive Program.

My initiation into motherhood birthed a new career path for me. Due to my own experience with depression after becoming a mother, I felt called to complete the Advanced Perinatal Mental Health Psychotherapy training with Postpartum Support International, and have translated my passion into a specialty in my practice. In addition, I train, employe, supervise and mentor Life After Birth® Therapists.

My specialities:

  • Birth trauma/birth story processing

  • Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs)

  • Career pauses + transitions

  • Conscious parenting

  • Raising neurodiverse children

Individual Therapy

Sometimes there are more sensitive issues that warrant a deeper dive 1:1 with a mental health professional. All Life After Birth® Psychotherapists are trained in perinatal (pregnancy + postpartum) issues, which can help expectant + new parents navigate challenges.

Group Therapy

These process-oriented support circles run by Masters-level perinatal mental health professionals tend to the birthing person. It is vital to have a safe place to make sense of your initiation or re-entry into parenthood. After becoming a parent, one typically hits the ground running and does not often take the time to acknowledge their metamorphosis. These groups are like a counterpart to mommy & me classes, which are typically more didactic in nature and focus on the child—their development, sleeping and schedules, etc. These practical matters do come up in our discussions, yet these circles take deep dives into subjects surrounding the drastic transformation from maiden to mother. For more info you can read:
